Abhyanga
About this treatment
Abhyanga is the classical Ayurvedic full-body oil massage, performed at Ayursiha in the traditional four-hand (Dwi Hasta) style by two trained therapists working in perfect synchrony. Using warm herbal oils formulated for your dosha, this therapy nourishes the seven dhatus (body tissues) from the skin inward, stimulates lymphatic circulation, and pacifies Vata — the primary dosha responsible for dryness, anxiety, and degeneration. The rhythmic pressure and herbal actives penetrate deep into the musculature, loosening adhesions and preparing the body for further detoxification.
What to expect
- Nourishment of all seven dhatus (body tissues)
- Stimulation of lymphatic flow and immune function
- Relief from muscle stiffness, joint pain, and fatigue
- Calming of Vata dosha — reduces anxiety and nervous tension
- Improvement in skin texture and lustre

Diet Plan
- Light meals 2 hours before and after therapy — avoid a full stomach
- Include nourishing, Vata-pacifying foods: sesame, warm soups, ghee, and root vegetables
- Avoid dry, cold, and raw foods which aggravate Vata dosha
- Stay well-hydrated with warm water or herbal broths throughout the day
- Favour sweet, sour, and salty tastes to balance the effects of the therapy
